Protect your cooling systems with CP 9240 Cooling Water Corrosion Inhibitor! This advanced formulation effectively prevents corrosion and scale build-up in water systems, enhancing efficiency and longevity. Ideal for industrial applications, CP 9240 ensures optimal performance and reduces maintenance costs. Keep your cooling water systems in peak condition and extend their lifespan with this reliable inhibitor.
Chemiphase CP-9240 has been formulated for use in the food industry where water containing the inhibitor could possibly come into contact with the product. All components in the formulation have the relevant approvals for such use despite the limitations on the inhibitors suitable for use in such a formulation.
CP-9240 is a corrosion inhibitor for ferrous metals combined with a dispersant scale inhibitor.

- Appearance Straw coloured liquid
- pH 12.5 - 13.5
- S.G. 1.15 - 1.18
Chemical Description
CP-9240 is an aqueous solution of silicates, polymers and surfactants.
Product Application
CP-9240 should be dosed to the circulating cooling water, preferably proportionally, to the make up to maintain the levels specified by the Chemiphase water treatment consultant as indicated by the analytical results.
Typical Dosage levels will vary on the type of water the product is applied with. The usual rate 100 -150 ppm based upon the Organo Phosphate levels.
Features & Benefits
- CP-9240 is an effective corrosion inhibitor which has been proven effective under particularly adverse conditions.
- CP-9240 will give corrosion rates on mild steel of less than 5 mpy, when correctly dosed and maintained.
- It contains only food grade inhibitors and can therefore be safely used within the food, drinks and dairy industries.
- Levels are easily monitored via a comparator test.
- CP-9240 is a corrosion inhibitor for ferrous metals combined with a dispersant scale inhibitor. It is suitable for use in the food and drinks industries.
Material Compatibility
CP-9240 is compatible with most other cooling water treatment products. It can be used with most standard dosing pump materials and fittings. Delivery lines in most standard materials are acceptable.
